Field Notes
A place for observations from everyday walks: changing light, quiet streets,
and the details that are easy to miss when there is somewhere to be.
Walking without a destination
The most interesting route is often the familiar one taken a little more
slowly. A different time of day changes the shadows and brings new sounds.
Leaving the camera in a pocket for the first few minutes helps, too.
Keeping a notebook
A few words at the end of a walk can preserve more than a collection of
photographs. The weather, a turn in the path, a conversation overheard:
small things become useful reminders of a particular afternoon.
